WHAT DOES A ZOOLOGIST DO?

 

cute tusked elephantA zoologist is a scientist who studies animals.  Within the science of zoology are a number of sub-sciences such as anatomy, the science of physical characteristics, and others that go back to the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, teacher to Alexander the Great.


        Zoologists study such animals as dogs, wild cats, chimps, worms and fish and humans, who are also members of the animal kingdom. Extinct animals are also a part of their work. They study the habitats and life habits of animals, their physical makeup and their biological history. If you are a zoologist, you may have a job as the following:
