Paleoanthropologist

STUDENT PROCESS: Activities for Paleoanthropologist

Congratulations! You have been assigned to work with Dr. Buddy Digger, a world renowned paleoanthropologist.

As Dr. Digger’s assistant you will learn about the physical life of the people who lived during the Ice Age. In “The Cave” there will be many fossil records of the people who lived there, that will help you understand how these people adapted to the physical climate of their time.

Your responsibility will be to complete the following activities:

Activity #1: Your first task is to become familiar with the hominids that were discovered in the cave. When you have investigated all the hominids found in our cave, complete the find-a-word puzzle.

Activity #2:. Your second task will be to learn more about Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. The questions found on your worksheet will be your guide to finding out about these early humans.

Activity #3: Write a short story, a day in the life of a person in a family shown in a website. In the story, explain the skull found with a hole.
