Rocky’s lectures and other information on the EDU738 website are open to viewing by anyone but the Discussion Forum is a restricted access area. It is a restricted area because you will be sharing your thoughts and opinions with your classmates but not with unauthorized people. Thus, please be sure that you do not share you login information with anyone else.
We are very confident that you will use the discussion forum in an appropriate manner, nonetheless, we do want to remind you of our guidelines for using the forum.
(1) Be thoughtful and courteous in your written comments. Remember that things we write and say can be misinterpreted. Unfortunately, it is even more difficult to correct misunderstandings in an asynchronous environment such as a discussion forum.
(2) If someone writes something that is offensive or troubling to you or you think that it may be troubling to someone else, please contact Rocky immediately. (rockyshwedel@gmail.com) He can remove the potentially offending material from the discussion forum and contact the writer for clarification or, if necessary, remove the person from the 738 Discussion Forum.
(3) Please keep in mind that nothing on the internet is totally private. Websites can be hacked. So not post anything or make any comments that you would be embarrassed about or that could lead to other problems.
